However, when using it, you need to keep two important things in mind:
Requires a ballast: You cannot screw the lamp directly into an ordinary socket. For it to work, it necessarily needs a corresponding 35W ballast, otherwise it won't light up or will be destroyed.
PAR20 size: The designation PAR20 means it is a relatively compact, narrower bulb (63 mm diameter). It has an angle of 40°, which creates a nice localized heating spot, but it is more suitable for small to medium terrariums, or as a supplementary light source to other lights, because it won't illuminate the entire surface of a large terrarium.
It is an excellent choice, for example, for bearded dragons, thorny devils, or other desert lizards in smaller breeding tanks, where at the recommended 15–20 cm it will create an ideal simulation of a tropical midday.
